Who can be hypnotized?

Everyone can be hypnotized.

What If You Can’t Bring Me Out Of It?

There is absolutely no danger of a person failing to come out of the hypnotic state.  In fact, it would be impossible to remain hypnotized.  Even if the hypnotherapist left the office while an individual was in the hypnotic state, there would be no danger.  They person would drift off into a natural state of sleep and would awaken after he was rested.

Is There Any Danger With Hypnosis?

There is only one way hypnosis can be dangerous. Although using hypnosis for pain control can be a very useful and helpful tool, it can be dangerous if not used responsibly.  Blocking pain can block symptoms which in turn can lead to dangerous health issues.  Therefore, hypnosis for pain control is only used with a doctor’s release to do so.

Will I Do Something Against My Will?

Hypnosis does not cause people to lose the ability to make decisions as they normally would.  At no time would a hypnotized person lose control.  Remember the explanation of “highway hypnosis”?  Think about when you are in that state.  You are consciously thinking about whatever it is you are thinking about but not really paying attention to driving right?  Well, if a big truck pulled out right in front of you, you would certainly be aware of it!  Your subconscious mind would bring this to your conscious awareness and you would act appropriately.  The hypnotic state in the office is the same thing.  Your subconscious mind never stops protecting you at anytime.

Most importantly you must know that you are able to make decisions just as easily while you are hypnotized as when you are not.  Think about it…. if anyone possessed the ability to MAKE people do things they didn’t want to do, we would certainly not be living in the world we live in.  If I had the ability to MAKE people do things they didn’t want to do, well……

Will I divulge secrets under hypnosis?

No.  Just as stated before, a person does not lose control under hypnosis and therefore would not say anything they did not want to say.
